Turkish cinematography is not the one we would know very much about so we jumped at a chance to talk to the top Turkish actress and director Derya Durmasz at the Zlín film festival. It was really an eyes opening talk.

Sometimes the most known personalities don´t have the most interesting story, but those less known are just the opposite. That is the case of a Danish director Nils Malmros whose name didn´t ring the bell to us before the Zlín film festival. But when we got to talk to him, we were truly amazed. A very interesting man and a very dedicated independent filmmaker who was pleased with our interest and even gave us his complete filmography in DVD gift box.

This British film writer is a very interesting person. His mother was a Polish who escaped from Russians who killed her parents. His father was a German Jew who escaped from Hitler. They met in England. Peter is a son–in-law of the Czech politician Karel Schwarzenberg and lives with his family in Vienna. He has many successful screenplays under his belt and made a flying visit to Prague's FebioFest. On the red carpet he replaced Daniel Brühl who depicted Niki Lauda in the film Rush which was penned by Peter himself.

This Spanish producer, son of famous father Carlos Saura appeared on Prague FebioFest 2016 three years after Geraldina Chaplin, who was a part of Saura´s family for many years. It would be a sin not to meet and talk to somebody whose artistic pedigree is as rich as Antonio´s.

When we spotted the name of director Rebecca Cremona from Malta on the guest list of FebioFest 2016 we applied for an interview. Since we knew nothing about film industry in this country, who better to ask than the first Maltese director who directed a first feature film called Simshar which she also brought onto this festival. Despite her young age of 26, we admired her focus and determination. She has a wise head on her shoulders.
