At Zlín Film Festival had its premiere a documentary film Make a comedy is no fun about Czech our Oscar winning director Jiří Menzel. It probably wouldn´t be such a big surprise, since film festivals are about films, but what is incredible is the fact that the director is piano virtuoso with no filming pedigree. This talented man is called Robert Kolínský. He was born in 1970 to Czech parents who emigrated to Switzerland after Russian invasion in 1968.He has no filming school, background or education, only is driven by passion. He could easily travel around the world and play for big money, but he rather do what makes other people happy and what fulfills him. Due to this he established Bohuslav Martinů Festival in Basel and on friend´s advice he jumped at the task of making a documentary about Jiří Menzel. Robert Kolínski, is very modest, pleasant and friendly guy and while meeting him he talked more about Jiří Menzel than about his project.

This 18 years old guy from London has probably acting is his blood. When he was nine he made his stage debut as Nipper in Oliver. Then he played Gavroche in Les Miserables. Then was invited for same role in Tom Hooper´s feature film version. In 2014 Daniel starred in movie Into the Woods where he played alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt or Johnny Depp. At Zlín Film Festival he introduced a new film London Town where he starred next to Jonathan Rhys Meyers. This independent film brings us back to 1976 when punk revolution was born and young hero from dysfunctional family finds a friendship with leading singer of punk legendary band The Clash.

This much awarded Irish photographer -cum -film maker living in Norway was a guest of Zlín Film Festival 2017. His incredible way of filming, shooting in North Korea and stories behind that made our interview jaw draping experience.

Danish actor Ulrich Thomsen was the guest of FebioFest 2017. He made a name for himself in theatre and made a film debut in 1994.So far the biggest international chance came in 1999 when he played in James Bond film The World Is Not Enough. He tried his skill as director and to be completely independent he was director, actor and producer and paid the film from his own pocket. He spoke fluent English with American accent and was very honest, thoughtful and nice.

British producer Duncan Kenworthy is a producer of such box office hits as Love Actually, Notting Hill or Four weddings and one funeral. He received five BAFTA Awards, three EMMY Awards and nomination for Academy Award. This fine, pleasant, witty and modest man was a guest of FebioFest 2017.He was kind enough to devote some of his precious time- first time in Prague-talking to us.
